I am thrilled to start this week by introducing you to Ashley English!! An amazing woman who is the author of seven books (she shows no sign of slowing down), Ashley is the eloquent voice behind the blog “Small Measure.”
She accomplishes the formidable job of demystifying homesteading through her body of work: The Homemade Living Series which includes the books, Canning & Preserving, Keeping Chickens, Keeping Bees, and Home Dairy. Ashley has also written several other books like Handmade Gatherings: Recipes and Crafts for Seasonal Celebrations and Potluck Parties as well as Quench: Handcrafted Beverages to Satisfy Every Taste and Occasion.
It was a pleasure interviewing Ashley because I had several ‘ah ha’ moments especially in the area of beekeeping which was totally new for me.
Would you love to learn how to plant a bee friendly garden? And many people know that bees are used to pollinate, but if you would truly like to contribute to the ecosystem, Ashley shares what plants are healing to bees and other pollinators.
Also, in this interview, Ashley teaches you to think like a predator if you raise Chickens; as well as a basic homesteading skill – how to make butter (she makes it easy!)
If you find this interview helpful in cultivating you farm to fork life be sure to leave a comment. And join us over in twitter if you would like to share more.
